There is a danger of relying on any particular method too much. Applying online without a targeted method can feel like sending “emails to the abyss.” The Internet is one resource in your bag of tricks. Go to industry gatherings and alumni events to network. Find industry specific career fairs in order to get some face-to-face time with recruiters and hiring managers. Look through local newspapers for job leads, as much of the hiring today is being done by small businesses.
