Great post - it is those little things that can cause big things to happen. My favorite resume filename is simply Joe_Smith_Resume or Joe_Smith_ProductManager. Too many people I know use a seemingly random naming convention and then can't seem to find anything when they need it. Another tip on the naming that I like is to add a date Joe_Smith_ProductManager_082809 - this way you can keep track of variants of your resume if you keep the same naming convention.

This is so funny as my name is Louise Hanks so of course if you were to look at my computer files I am positive you would find a document with that name lol. How am I doing at marketing myself to you now? Fortunately I am not looking for a job I just stumbled across this when I googled my name. I know perhaps I do need a job hehe...

Well nice to meet you, Louise Hanks. I made up that name for this post in order to keep the real person anonymous. Welcome to The Job Lounge!
