Functional Resume Format vs. Chronological Resume Format

Why recruiter Peggy McKee prefers the chronological resume format over the functional resume format:

    The functional resume drives me crazy, so hard to read!

    Yes, a lot of people don't like them because they have to do so much cross-referencing to understand where and when an achievement took place.
