Confidence could be your winning ticket during a competitive job search; and your cover letter is one great opportunity to be confident in black and white. When given a choice between wording that's "iffy" and wording that's confident, pick the latter.

I very much like this post Susan! The cover letter is your "first impression" and the candidate must make the most of this opportunity to tell the hiring manager: "I'm the person you're looking for." Not in a brash or cocky way, but confident in his or her ability to get the job done. Wishy-washy language will probably not serve a candidate well.
