Standard Keyboard Symbols for an E-Resume

Bullet points, arrows, check marks, and other symbols created by the automatic indent function of MS Word don't always transfer well when posted online or pasted into email messages. For example, bullet points sometimes transfer as "&16707," ")," or a little graphic of a thumbs-up.

To be sure your e-resume contains only symbols that transfer well electronically, use standard keyboard characters at the beginning of statements.

Here are ones I like:
Dash (-)
Asterisk (*)
Double asterisk (**)
Plus sign (+)
Greater than (>)
Dash and greater than (->)

Do you have some that you use, and are appropriate for a resume? Let us know in the Comments section!
