I started to get nervous while reading Ronnie Ann's post, which seemed to spell the doom of paper resumes and the old fashioned who-do-you-know-who-knows-somebody-with-a-job-lead style of job hunting. But Ronnie Ann's conclusion reassured me that the paper resume still has the top notch ranking among job search approaches.

I've spent the last 20 years working in and out of technology and every time we tried to implement a paperless office procedure, I noticed people still had to print and keep hard copies. We do love our paper.
I think paper resumes will be needed for a long time - at least as long as there's an in-person interview where the interviewer needs it right there in front of him or her. As for real person-to-person networking...I can't even imagine a day when it won't be an important part of the process. It's just now we have more tools that help us find someone to help us.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
