In the best of worlds, a job interview would be a succession of one good question leading to a good answer, which would lead to another good question, and before you knew it, 30 or 40 minutes would go by. Maybe you’d even get a job offer right then and there, or at least a hearty handshake with the promise of a follow-up call.
Of course, we all know not all interviews go that smoothly. Some managers aren’t skilled at asking good questions. And some interviewees aren’t all that good at answering questions.
